How do you teach a toddler to say bedtime prayer?

I remember saying bedtime prayers growing up and I would like my kids to learn too. But I don't remember my mom or dad teaching me. How do you teach them the right things to say?

My mother just prayed with me every night. It is one of those things that you don't remember learning because it was just a normal part of your day.

We have always prayed together as a family at night, so I guess by example.

You say it with them to start and have them repeat after you when they are old enough. Asthey get bigger they can do it alone

Start off by leading by example. They see you pray and they will follow. There is not one set way to pray, no rules to follow. Just talk to God. Start off by giving praise and thanks for things and people in your life, then just pray for those un need of help or healing. Check out christianbook.com, they might have some childrens prayer books in there also with simple prayers.
