Sudden bed-wetting.

DS (3yrs old) was fairly easy to potty-train. Took less than a week and he's been trained for about 6-7 months now. The last two weeks, he started wetting the bed at night. We started with the typical: no drinks an hour before bed time and making sure he goes before bedtime. It worked for a few days, but now, he's back to bed-wetting. I don't know if he's getting up in the middle of the night and getting water from the bathroom or what, but it's very strange to me. We've talked to him about it and told him that if he has to go in he middle of the night, he really needs to get up and go to the bathroom. It's just so sudden and random that I don't know what else to do to deter it....Advice??

maybe he is in a deep sleep and dosent realize he needs to go?

maybe try setting the alarm clock, getting up and bringing him to the bathroom yourself, i know it will make you tire but this way you are training him to wake up and walkto the bathroom.

if that dosent work I would talk to his doctor, sometimes its physical.

Any changes in the household or anything?

Otherwise, I'd probably wake him in the middle of the night to go potty.

Any major changes at school, could be even minor to us but is major to them. Academically or socially

Do you leave a light on in the bathroom for him?

Could he have an infection?  Has something happened to him (bedwetting can indicate molestation or a child might be reacting to something new in his life)

Maybe take him yourself in the middle of the night.

There are a lot of good suggestions here.

I was wondering whether or not he was a deep sleeper too.

Has he been sick, any changes in his routine or anything. Things like that can affect bed wetting. Maybe he is sleeping deeper
