Any kind of cute shoes, I see on sale. When my daughter went to daycare, I just bought cheap shoes. She has shoes from Old Navy, Gap, Target, etc.
My husband on the other hand, is into shoes, so the ones he buys are a little bit more expensive.

I don't buy specific shoes for my 6-1/2yo or 5yo but I buy high tops for my 3yo because she needs shoes that go around her ankles or have braces.

We usually stick with Nikes on Converse for our 3 year old

My dd has a very wide and fat foot. Have yet to find the perfect fit. Wide is easy to find but the fat part is hard.

I buy a variety of shoes based on what I am comfortable paying at the time and if their is a specific need on a certain shoe that depends on brand. My 11mo of course just gets Payless or Walmart shoes the other kids need shoes for school, indoor and outdoor (usually brand named for them) Nike, Adidas, Airwalk, Osiris, Puma, Sketchers etc...

No brand here-whatever fits and appears to be sturdy and well made.

When our kids are toddlers, we've always had them in Stride Rite.

Dd has a couple of stride rite and sparkly Toms. Ds likes any kind as long as they're comfortable.
