Stubborn As a Mule

My 14 month old ds#2 is so stubborn! He literally wants what he wants and that's it. He screams bloody murder otherwise.

For an example, I take him to this indoor play place and it has a spot where you can sit and eat. Well ds#2 spotted someone eating the one day we went and would not stop going over to the kid. I told him we have snack in the car. I told him it wasnmt his. I moved him several times. We ended up leaving because he was determined to get that boy's snack.

Has anyone else dealt with this behavior? Ds#2 is so stuck on doing something that we end up leaving places or going inside the house. How did you deal with it? What methods worked for you?

It is normal. My youngest was like that too. redirecting works good with continual use

Sounds pretty normal. Just keep saying no and redirecting. Eventually it gets better :)

Sounds like you're doing all you can really do. Hopefully he outgrows it. As other posters have said, it's pretty normal for that age.

Consistency and redirection are about all you can do at that age.

That is fairly normal, continue redirecting him and never give in.
