  • Personal Statement

    My top 10 list-

    1. I just finished up my degree in middle childhood ed.  I've wanted to be a teacher since the 2nd grade & can't wait to have my own classroom!!

    2. I already have the perfect man in my life- my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

    3. I love muscle cars.  My favorite 2 cars are the Plymouth Barracuda & Dodge Charger.  I hope that I'll be able to own one of the new ones someday.

    4. My first ever car was a Plymouth Duster- and it was Lime Green!!

    5. I love to write & I'm hoping to work on a book that I started writing awhile ago this summer.

    6. Someday I want to live beside the ocean.  I love the ocean for its vastness, peace and calming ability.  I lived a mile away from the Pacific Ocean for several years while my ex was in the Marines and would love to go back.

    7. I've always wanted to own & run my own business and have given some thought to becoming a private tutor, or running a wedding consultant business.

    8. I am a history buff!  I love to visit historical places and read about history, especially the stuff that isn't in the text book!

    9. I love to travel.  My most recent trip was to Charleston, South Carolina with other middle school majors from MUC.  Teaching is awesome, but I loved being in the city.

    10. I wish that I could sew as well as my mother.  She made all of my formal dresses, plus many other clothing items.  I've tried to sew a few items, but I'll never be as good as her.
