I'm Andrea, I'm 22 and I have a 6 year old son who is my WORLD. My life was pretty much turned upside down Sept. '06 when my mom was diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time. I left school to take care of her and my 8 year old brother. I am so thankful for those last months we spent together because, sadly, my mom passed away in June. I'm still really numb and trying to accept things for what they are are. I find myself constantly picking up the phone to call my mom and it hits hard knowing that I can't do that anymore. I know she's watching over me and I'm happy that she's not suffering anymore - I think knowing that is helping me cope with things.

I have always thought that everything happens for a reason. I am struggling now not knowing what the reason is for what happened with my mom, but I don't doubt God's decisions. He always makes things happen for me and I am thankful that I truly have a relationship with Jesus - without that I would not be able to deal with what is going on. I know my mom is up there putting in a good word for me :) Thank you God for being in my life...

I am a very hardworking person - and I do it all for my baby Bryant. He is my world and my reason for trying so hard to succeed. I gave up my own childhood to give him a good one and I feel I am accomplishing that. I may not have a typical college student life, but I love being a mom to my baby and I wouldn't trade that for the world. I believe anyone can accomplish anything regardless of their situation as long as they set their mind to it and work hard. Family has always been the most important thing in my life and I feel that even more now that I have my own. I am grateful for my friends who have stuck around through all the difficult times - thank you.
