Discipline your children well. And by discipline, I mean discipline them to love, be respectful, be encouraging, and forgiving. Teach them to want to live to better the lives of others before thinking of themselves first. Because, if you strive to live a life of loving your fellow people before yourself, then loving yourself comes naturally just as a breath of air. Help others before you help yourself, and others will do the same for you, resulting in yourself already being helped. Keep your house clean and clear of clutter to minimize anxiety in your children's lives, and always tell them they are smart and that they are loved. Boost their self esteem but also keep them humble and they will naturally praise others and build other's self esteem too. Teach them that almost all situations are fixable in other ways if what they are doing or trying is just not working out. Teach them patience and they will have it with you. Teach them respect and they will have it with you. Show them unconditional love so that they too can have unconditional love for their spouse and children. Teach them about God. Incorporate all of these lessons into God. If they choose otherwise later in life, then that is their decision, but if you do it with love, choosing otherwise will never be an option or even a mere thought in their minds.
