**Copied from my MySpace "About Me" Section. Because I'm too lazy to write something different about myself.**
I live in a quaint little town outside of Grand Rapids. *** I'm married. *** I'm going back to school this fall. I'm going to major in Psychology and minor in Criminal Justice. *** I'm also on my way to becoming a small group leader for survivors of abuse. It's going to be effing awesome! *** I have 3 kids, so that gives me a justifiable excuse to be unemployed. *** I lead a pretty boring life and am desperately lacking in the intelligent conversation department. *** I watch a lot of Barbie movies and various Disney/Pixar animated films. But to be fair, I also make my kids watch shows from my childhood, like Thundercats and Care Bears. Because I can. *** I have the heart of a hopeless romantic, but the mind of an eternal cynic. *** I absolutely love Middle Eastern food. *** I believe everything happens for a reason. *** I also believe it's possible to have a mid-life crisis while only in your 20s. I know this because I did it. *** Not a day goes by that I don't question my the state of my mental stability. *** I named the voices in my head: The Narrator, The Conspirator, and The Inner Retard. I also think The Voice of Reason lives in there somewhere, too. But he doesn't get out much. *** I'm addicted to the internet, ChapStick, personal growth, and Jack Bauer. *** Soon I will be moving to Utah to live in polygamous bliss with Jack Bauer and Michael Scofield. As soon as I figure out how to live in my alternate reality. *** I spent a year seeing a Licensed Psychologist. That $2800 was well worth it. *** I am no longer passive, self-condemning, or all around F'ed up. *** Ok, I've recently come to realize that I am still all of those things, just on a much more manageable level. *** And I'm still afraid of The Dark and The Phone. *** I am a writer...a really blocked one. Because there's the whole 'putting words together to form coherent sentences' nonsense. *** I have a blog. If you can find it, you can read it. *** I battle The Crazy and The Fat every single day. And I'm losing. At least when it comes to The Crazy. I'm slowing beating The Fat into submission. *** I'm pushing 30 but have the sense of humor of a 15 year old. *** My pet peeves are liars, enablers, superficial people, and spelling errors. *** I love taking pictures and finally got that fancy DSLR I've been eyeballing for the past year. Now I just have to figure out how to use it. *** I have been Saved by Grace through Faith for the past 7 years. Yes, I am Christian, but not of the stuffy, legalistic variety. *** And I definitely don't believe that forgiving is the equivalent of forgetting.
