I have a son born in Feb. '07. He's my first child. I love him to pieces! I got pregnant again in the end of April '09 and lost the baby at 11 weeks pregnant (early July'09). We are devastated by the loss of this baby.
I'm an older Mom. I was 38 when I delivered my first child. I'm 40 now.
I'm a stay at home Mom.
Hoping for a daughter so I'll have one of each. Would be happy to have a second son, though, too.
I live in NH.
I'm very overweight and have been my whole life. I lost 60 lbs in 2006 before I got pregnant. Kept most of it off, but am still very heavy. Lost another 26 lbs before pregnancy #2, but after losing the baby I have started gaining again from emotional eating.
I eat pretty healthy foods. I walk twice a day with my dog and my son. Ok, lately, I've eaten not as well as I should have and I know it. It's just hard to stop.
We cloth diaper and I am into natural things - wooden toys preferred.
I nursed til he was 14 months old and we baby-wore until he was walking well.
I love to read and my son does, too!
We got a dog right after the miscarriage (July '09) and she's fitting right in. Her name is Nessa. She's a one year old Maltese dog, which is a toy dog - all white, with long hair. I grew up with Maltese and they're a terrific breed - very sweet and personable.
I sing in an all women's chorale group as well as a subgroup of that which sings for hospice patients. I love singing!
I used to be active in the SCA and was an archery marshal. We're thinking of getting back into that.
I'm a knitter and I'm CONSTANTLY knitting if I'm sitting and not otherwise busy with my hands (like typing). I run the Shawls of Love knitting group at the church.
We are active members of our Unitarian Universalist Church.
