I am a stay at home mother of two boys. John is 6 years old and Autistic. Isaac is a typical 3 year old. My husband Joe is a Pastor, but is between churches right now.  He is working a fulltime secular job that doesn't pay much and we are getting some assistance from Social Services.  We are Southern Baptist and he has resumes out every where looking for a new church. Pray for us!! John will be in a public school special ed kindergarten class specifically for Autistic kids this Fall and continues to make some amazing progress which you can read about in my journal entries and view my pictures. John will go to school Mon-Fridays all day. The bus picks him up around 7:30am and brings him home around 3:00pm.  I take him  for speech and occupational therapy one day a week in addition to what he gets in school. We occasionally have to make trips to UVA in Charlottesville, VA for checkups and tests, 3 hours one way. Isaac is not Autistic (he has been tested) and for the most part on target developmentally, even ahead in some areas. We are getting him some therapy as he is wanting to imitate his big brother in some areas such as speech. I look forward to getting to know a lot of Moms!!
