    I am a mother of 3. I have an eight year old son who has Aspergers. I would like to chat with other Aspie moms about their children. He's my world. love him to death.

    I am getting married in July to the sweetest man.

    Besides learning to cope with my sons Aspergers, life is good! :)

    congrats on the wedding! How are things with your son? We were having a really hard time with my son's teacher following his IEP and she wasnt being nice to him at all so I pulled him out in april and homeschooled him I didn't think I'd be able to educate him as well as the school but It was the best decision I every made. His confidence bloomed and he has rocketed in reading I am very proud of him (and me) we are moving to a new school district this summer so he will go back to public school

    wrightslaw.com, know your rights. don't let them screw you! IEP ,"Mediation". i threatened and they finally did something. Don't have the IEP unless you have an advocate with you or you're well informed.

    hi I read your post and i have a 7 yr old aspie son. he gets behind in school, sometimes he just refuses to do anything. The teacher and I talked and we agreed to send work home when he doesnt finish it and I work with him on it. i have a letter that I got from one of the other moms here on cafe mom if you check out her profile it has the most wonderful letter that i just gave to my sons teacher It says everything i just couldnt put into words!!! I'll go look for her
