Evenflo seats should go to 22lbs, not 20. Unless it's a seat you used with one of your older boys. Anyway, it is extremely unsafe for him to use the seat if he's over the weight or height limit. Even a pound over can make the seat fail during an accident. Try to come up with $50 and go to Walmart to get a Cosco Scenera. I have one as a spare. It's a great seat. Just make sure you keep him rear-facing to at least 1 year & 20lbs.
Hey! I saw the picture of Sullevan in his car seat from the April 2009 Babies! group in the 7 month stats post. He's such a cutie, and he's way more active than my son (who was born on the same day)! Just wanted to let you know that the twisted strap needs to be fixed and the chest clip needs to be a smidge higher (armpit or nipple level). NOT being the "car seat police", just thought you should know because the twisted strap is unsafe. Have a great Veteran's Day! (=
