  • Proud Army Wife

  • What do ya wanna know?

    • Austin Austin 9 years old

      Austin was diagnosed with...

    • Alyssia Alyssia 11 years old

Well, What can I say about...

  • Personal Statement

I am a 33 year old mother of 2- I just got married on Nov 13,2008!!!  He just joined the Army in September, so the transition of being alone after all this time is a big change.  But this is what he wants, and I am right here to support him!   I cant wait to see what the future holds for us.  we are currently TTC.....

    ttcbaby dustin love

First there is Alyssia who is 11 years old and she is a full time job in herself.  She is very avid in school and girl scouts- and don't get in the way of her social life, because that is just unheard of...  I cant wait for the teen years to start!  She just picked up playing the clarinet this year, and is doing really well at it.....  I cant wait for her daddy to hear her play!!

Then there is Austin who is 9 years old.  He is in 4th grade and he keeps me very busy with Doctors appointments and trips to the school for multiple conferences.  He was diagnosed with ADHD just in Kindergarten, and that has really kept us on our toes.  He spent 2 years in school getting shuffled around and in trouble because no one could figure out what was wrong with him, but now- things are starting to calm down, We have gone through many different medications and dosages in the few years and we are still having our trials with that, but we are slowly improving, and trying to do what is best for Austin.  He is currently taking Adderall-20 mg daily- and we have tried Ritalin and Concerta...I am open to ideas here if anyone has them!

Its hard to know what is best because I am not a doctor, but it kills me to see him act the way he does and not be able to do anything about it.  I am looking to meet other Moms who like to chat or have dealt with the ADHD as I am going through now.

  • You Took My Place!!

    YOU TOOK MY PLACE!!!!

One day, a man went to visit a church. He got there early, parked his

car and got out. Another car pulled up near him. The driver got out

and said, 'I always park there! You took my place!'

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and

sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated,

'That's my seat! You took my place!' The visitor was somewhat

distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday school, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat

down. Another member walked up to him and said, 'That's where I

always sit! You took my place!' The visitor was even more troubled by this

treatment, but still He said nothing.

Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them,

the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible

scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone

from the congregation noticed him and called out, 'What happened to

    you?'

The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear

fell from his eye, 'I took your place.'

When you receive this, say a prayer. That's all you have to do.. There is nothing attached. This is powerful.  Maybe, just maybe, we can get the world to start thinking of who took our place.

Help us to remember Lord, that there is nothing that is going to happen today that we can not handle together. Amen
