I grew up on a farm in Colorado.  I worked my tail off - up at 5:30 in the morning taking care of livestock, cooking, gardening, canning vegetables & fruits, and much more.  I studied Animal Science and Ag. Business in college, and then earned a Master's degree in Agricultural Education.  I used to teach kids how to weld, take apart and rebuild small engines, and much more!

A few years ago I had the opportunity to start my own business.  I really didn't take it seriously.  It was a very small investment and I thought I would stay in it long enough to make my money back and then quit.  Instead, a few months later I quit my full-time job which required me to travel a great deal and put in 60 hours per week!

I don't miss the long hours, believe me!  I'm able to work when I want and make a great income. 

I remember a day when I had done two parties.  I was kind of grumpy because neither one turned out quite as big as I wanted, so on the way home I was figuring out  how "little" I had made that day.  Then I looked at the clock, and realized I had just made over $50 per hour, and that included my drive time!  That's when I realized I had become a little spoiled!
