As we begin this brand new year; Jer & I realize that we are pretty much screwed.  Gone are the days of swaddling our little precious son and placing him in his crib for 3 two hour siestas a day.  Instead; we are still searching for the manual they DON'T give you at the hospital when your child is born. We've grown accustomed to our house and its internal tornadic appearance.  Dog food has a new meaning for little fingers and their insistance of putting everything in their mouth.  Illness is not just about us anymore as we've become human kleenex for our little guy's streamers of snot.  I never really thought child proofing the toilet seat was necessary until I found a bottle floating in the bowl.  Walking...barely got that down; let's try climbing up the entertainment center now.  Aside of that and the many adventures we will soon embark upon; absolutely NOTHING compares to the heartwarming feeling of our little Ethan running at you drunken sailor style when you walk in the door from work....or when you're getting ready for work and find a block in your boot.  We look forward to what the new year brings and welcome the challenges ahead....pray for us....seriously.
