Random Facts About Myself (In No Particular Order of Importance)

The Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie.

I enjoy winter, except that it requires me to wear real shoes and socks anytime I go out (and that I make sure my kids do the same.)

I don't consider myself a picky eater, in spite of the fact that I won't eat any kind of olives, mushrooms, beets, or meat/fish/poultry.

I've been pregnant and/or nursing for 4 years and counting.

I generally prefer to read non-fiction over novels.

I don't think I can recall the last time I went a day without chocolate (in one form or another.)

Curried rice and lentils is the go-to dish I make when I don't really feel like thinking about what to make for dinner.

I can kick your butt at Clue.

I will not win, however, if you want to play Scrabble.

I spend significantly more time doing my toddler's hair than my own.

At the moment, my throat hurts from reading "The Three Little Pigs." Those voices'll do a number on ya.

I am not even the slightest bit interested in any professional sport.

I love grocery shopping.

And the "controversial" stuff: I've been a vegetarian for 17 years.  My husband is as well, and our kids are being raised with our standard of normal.  I breastfeed my children until they self-wean. Both of my kids sleep in my bed, and will do so as long as they wish. They are 100% unvaccinated.  My son and my daughter have intact genitalia.  I am an unassisted birther and will never, ever set foot in another hospital unless there is truly a life-threatening emergency.

I am probably one of the "crunchiest" moms you'll ever meet, but in real life I'm very approachable.  If we ran into each other at the library, you may even think I'm as normal as you.
