Ten things you should know about me:
1. I am a stay at home Mom who loves to stay active and keep my kids involved in lots of things.
2. I have a wonderful family, and a husband who is very rare. When he's not working, he does as much if not more with and for the kids as I do.
3. I have 2 sisters (one younger, one older) and we are very different, but able to move past that and be very close.
4. Although I hate the class system and putting people in categories, I think I would most often be described as a liberal Democrat. I severely dislike the current administration, and am looking forward to 2008.
5. I am an advocate for breastfeeding. I think if you can, you should. It's best for the children and best for the Mom. Although, I do understand there are lots of situations where it doesn't work out.
6. I have very little patience and a short attention span. I can be very random because if I don't speak it when I think it, it's gone. This is a constant sore subject between me and my husband because he thinks if I interrupt him I 'm not listening to what he's saying.
7. I believe a super power, like the USA, should help other nations according to their need for help, not our own interests. If Darfur had anything at all to offer us monetarily, we'd already be there.
8. Some of my favorite movies are: Little Miss Sunshine, Babel, A Beautiful Mind, LIfe as a House, Dreamer (with Dakota Fanning), V for Vendetta, Shindler's List, and many more.
9. Some of my favorite music is: Indigo Girls, MUSE, Jump Little Children, Johnny Cash, Natalie Merchant, Ben Folds, Pink, Cold War Kids, a little Rage Against the Machine and Offspring, Aerosmith, most anything with a point....a purpose.
10. I think a lot of the problems in this world are from a lack of caring and a lack of compassion. I think if people would truly love their neighbors, and overcome their prejudices, the world would be a happier place. If you've never walked in their shoes, you DO NOT know what they are going through...no matter how empathetic you can be!!!
