We live here on Spade Mountain in the very northeastern corner of Oklahoma. We enjoy living in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. I was grown before I knew that most of Oklahoma looked entirely different from where I was raised.
We moved back here 11 years ago and built our home on family property. We chose deep in the woods with no visible road but our own . My dad still lives in the farmhouse and I care for him.
We raise goats and chickens . They are lovable animals and such company for me and my granddaughter. She, of course, is the bright light in our lives. Both of our children have good jobs and we're so thankful for that.
We are trying to get the animal's housing ready for winter and so want to have that new barn built. The chicken house is just about done. We're hoping scrap metal prices go back up soon and we can clean all this stuff out of here!!
I love my life to be simple, clean and peaceful. So thankful for a husband who wants the same thing. I'm grateful the Lord has been our constant companion through the years.
