I WANT TO BE HEARD! 

Time and time and time again over the course of 6 years I have heard one heartbreaking story after another - of Natural Moms whose adoption journey becomes a living nightmare.  Much of it stems from the deception of how adoption is presented by agencies.  They carefully do not mention the risks of your open/semi-open adoption being closed on you.  Nor do they talk about the issues that an adopted child have to deal with.

Society has bought the pack of lies about adoption, fed to them by the money hungry agencies.  The lies of it is being a "loving choice", while at the same time skirting the issues of how they manipulate vulnerable women.  That their 'counseling' happens before birth, so they can pressure her into adoption.  Where is the counseling by those same agencies AFTER the birth and the papers are signed? Where is the counseling years later when she is struggling and grieving?

We're supposed to be silent if it's 'negative'.  We're told to look at the positive side. 

I'm tired of people only hearing one side of the coin.

My botched adoption was handled by Bethany Services (sorry, can't put Christian in the name, I don't believe that is true.  Often refer to them as BS short and more accurate).  Update added 2/18/08 ---> Apparently I am not alone!  check out rating comments here ...  http://www.adoptionagencyratings.com/bethany-christian-services.htm
