Things about me:

I have a fantastic husband and a very happy marriage.  I have a son who hung the moon, if you ask me.  I live in a shithole town that I am looking forward to leaving just as soon as I can.  I generally speak my mind.  I can be a tremendous smartass, and sarcasm is a second language to me.  I try to  be as informed as I can as a mother, but most of the time I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing - and sometimes that scares me.  I am an atheist, but I have a stronger moral center than many Christians I know.  I love snow and I hate it when it's so hot I can't think.  Sometimes I think my past drug usage has made me stupid.  I am an avid reader - AVID.  My mom died 2 years ago and sometimes I miss her so much I cry myself to sleep.  I have seen "The Wizard of Oz" probably 429 times.  I try to be helpful whenever I can.  I have no real life friends here.  I'm fat but it really doesn't bother me - I love to cook and I also love to eat and am not willing to give up either of those passions.  I can be disgustingly sentimental or scathingly indifferent, depending on my mood.  I love the ocean.  I hate when people argue just to be contrary.  I am pro-choice, which extends to all areas....breastfeed or formula feed, circumcised or non, co-sleep or crib sleep -- who cares?  We are all just doing the best that we can for our children.  I won't tell you how to parent, you don't tell me.  However, if you ask my opinion, I will certainly give it if I feel so inclined, and if I ask yours, I am prepared for anything.
