I have been living in CT for the last 8 years, but have still not met any true friends! This is mostly because of my work schedule.. Most of my friends live in NY, where I grew up and lived most my life. I love CT, but we moved to a remote area, and its hard to meet people here! Thus, I am here at Cafe Mom, hoping to find some friends to have some fun with! What to know about me...wow, I'm never tongue-tied, thats for sure. I could chat forever about everything. My personality: I'm a bit shy and quiet in new situations, not great at parties. I'm quite emotional, love heart-to-heart chats. I'm a great listener. I love gardening, long walks, exercising (though I never seem to get a moment lately), dancing, scary or romantic movies, fun places like amusement parks, museums, zoos. I love writing/reading poetry and e mails. I adore playing with my twins, a boy and a girl who are 8 years old. I am an older Mom (40 ish), but really look and feel young, very young attitude. I work in the medical field, telecommute from home and travel to NY once a week. I enjoy vacationing mostly anywhere. Not into sports too much, except I like to watch figure skating occasionally or unbelievably...boxing. I like the beach, used to live closer to it. I am very organized, keep my house clean and neat. Enjoy decorating. Absolutely love clothes shopping. I live with my fiancee, the father of my kids. Put off getting married because I'm probably being a bit eccentric about the wedding. However, I consider myself married. I know I'll be with him forever. I think making a few wonderful and faithful friends is better than making a dozen fair-weather friends. I am a good friend who is looking for the same!

Moms 35 andolder with small kids would like to get this group active again. I know our schedules are busy but, we can't let this group die. The member who can get The most members to write a post and participate, wins a $25 Target or Walmart gift certificate. The rule is you have to get the person posting or commenting has to mention that you encouraged them. The one with most posters and responder gets the prize!!
