3/2008  My twins turn two on Easter and amazing how my focus has changed.  I've been even offered a high paying part time job and I'm not sure I even want it.  Staying home is awesome - I'm so lucky.  Of course it is not easy every day, but in general it is the right place for me now.  I'm taken my type A personality and found all sorts of outlets.  I've started my own photography/stationary company, serve on the board of a Peace Corps affiliate group, participate in a local mom's group, and attend a mother's of multiples group.  Life is busy enough just being a mom.  

My first Statement (cicra 2006)  35 is not the ideal time to leave your professional life, but thanks to the birth of my identical twin girls in March 06 that is exactly what I did. The birth of my twins was an amazing blessing and belive me it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. So, I'm a stay at home mom right now, stuggling with the loss of my professional life. I loved my work, teaching and non-profit work in the former Soviet Union, and leaving it has been a loss of identity. I'm getting used to this stage of life, but with 12 ear infections this year (split between two) it is a challenge to even get out of the house. I hope to connect with other moms through this list who are facing similar challenges.
