I am a stay at home mom that defines herself as a stay at home mom. There are people out there that think that defining youself like that is bad and that it means that you have lost yourself along the way. I say phooie!! I have never cared what I looked like or how people see me, but since i have become a stay at home mom instead of a stay at home mom that is also trying to be a grad student, people say that I no longer have a sense of self and that I have let myself go. I look at stay at home mom as a job. The best job that is out there and as one would define themselves as a personal assistant, nurse, ect. I define myself as my job too. A stay at home mom that loves her children and her husband and to me that makes me almost as important if not more important that some of the other occupations out there and I am d*mn proud of it.
