I have the sometimes bittersweet, yet always amazing experience of raising two incredible sons who are less than two years apart on varying degrees of the educational spectrum. From the day they were born, my sons were like salt & pepper. One very blond, the other decidedly brunette. One docile, intelligent & sweet yet with a few special needs while the other is easy, independent, firey, sharp as a whip, & one of the most inventive people I've ever met. I am also blessed with a devoted husband who is extremely intelligent, innovative, handsome & supportive albeit a shadow of asperger's syndrome. My oldest son, with flaxen hair and a cherub face is an incredibly affectionate and beautiful child with Asperger's syndrome & a speech articulation disorder. Max has an incredible heart, incredible potential, an unyielding determination & faces constant challenges yet he always, always rises to the challenge and surpasses all expectations. He motivates me to learn & grow each & every day & makes me want to literally change the world! OUr lives have been changed in a such a positive way due to Max's autism. My youngest son Gunnar has a devilish grin & an amazing sense of humor. He is one of those very fortunate people who does everything with ease. He is a serious bookworm and a lego enthusiast which gives him an incredible wealth of knowledge combined with superior ability to problem solve and innovate. As a family we work well together, each w/ a unique talent & so we enjoy things like renovating our 1924 home together and traveling to as many places and we find time to visit using the world as our giant classroom knowing that really the older you get, the more you realize you don't really know yet. We are always hungry for more adventure and expanding ourselves!
