Hi - I have a son named Kristian as well - spelled the same too. I must say that I've worked with autistic children in a school setting volunteering at a home for children and I give you all the credit in the world. Does Kristian communicate with sign language. A couple of the kids I worked with did. I've been signing and speaking to my Kristian since he was born and now he understands basic signs like eat more and tired without me saying the word.
