Sorry it took so long. I hope all went well with the dinner. I would have tried to get along with her because if your son really likes her he is going to find a way to spend time with her. IMO I would rather have them at my house so I can keep on eye on them. Remember they are young and at this age relationships do come and go. Good Luck
