    My son is 2 and a half and has autism. I am so stressed out and upset. I just want my son to live a happy and healthy life. I want him to talk to us. I can't afford ABA therapy, and his speech therapy 1 hour a week does nothing! Any advise?? anyone been in my situation? thanks :)

      suzzi01 I have not been in your shoes but my mom is a special needs aid and some of the most loving kids I know are ones with autism. There are a lot of programs out there and some even have scholarships. I live in So Cal and there are tons here. I would start with the calling your local school district and seeing if they know of any programs that kids can do before they start school. Also, google Jennie McCarthy.       LauraMS7 thank you for the advise. I do appreciate it. I actually live in Florida, so there is not much here. There is nothing the school district can do until he turns 3. :( and yes, i have read all of jenny mccarthy's books, and I really wish i lived in California because there seems to be much more help our there.
