  • Personal Statement

    I am a married SAHM of a 4 yr. old. My son, Dominic, has Asperger's Syndrome which is a form of autism. He has therapy in the home 6 hrs. per week. I enjoy this time I have with him at this stage in his life. I do hope to return to work when he is older. But right now I am loving every minute with him. I am married to my best friend. He is the best husband anyone could ever hope for. I am truly blessed in my life and with the people in it.Wink

    hi leAnn, my name is mary, my son Dennis has autism, he's 7 years old now, he's come a long way, I like meeting and talking with ohter parents who go through the same thing. it's not always easy, but I always work hard everyday to hang on. one of the things I do to work out about my sons autism is I write poetry about it.

    Thanks for beginning this group. My son, Josh, was also diagnosed with AS/OCD/ADHD in March. This has been the most difficult time in my life, as we adjust to the challenges that lay ahead. Your group has let me help heal myself, as well as offer advice to others in the same predicament. I can't thank you enough.
    Your site is wonderful, and makes me see that happiness can be around the corner, if you look for it!
