My husband and I adopted our 3 yr. old granddaughter last summer, this is our first girl. Brooke is my 28 yr. old son's little girl. He has been in alot of trouble with drugs and illegal activities and is not able to care for Brooke. Her birth mother is a meth addict, and worthless. My son has done his time and paid his dues, but he has to worry about staying clean right now. It is a joy having Brooke with us, but a real challenge also. Our baby is 22, so it's like starting all over. And I have to say, boys are easier by far. I can't wait til she gets older!
