I do hope that you will be dealing with an open scanner and they should let you in to hold his hand. If they give you a hard time: demand it!you have the right. Good luck girl.

Most imaging places offer earphones but you might want to bring some of his favorite music along or a favorite thing he could hold on to. Also, The IV is either for a sedative or for gadolinium. Often time, doctors will ask for imaging with and without gadolinium. Do find out, because he cannot take it if he his allergic to shelfish.
