I am a stay-at-home mom and I am so blessed to be able to watch my little miracle man grow and change on a daily basis. Mason is the light of my life. My husband and I waited 7 long years to hold our precious babies. Mason has his very own guardian angle, his twin sister Madelynn. Madelynn and Mason were born at 24w2d and were very tiny. Madelynn who was born first, weighed 1 pound 5 ounces and measured 11.5 inches long. Mason weighed 1 pound 9 ounces and measured 12.5 inches long. Both suffered numerous complications because of their prematurity and Maddie's poor little body just gave out when she was a little over 3 months old. We miss her every day but we know she watches over her little brother.
Mason continues to amaze me on a daily basis. He has come such a long way and is doing so well. He just started walking this week and I am just so proud of him. Looking at him now you wouldn't know how tiny and fragile he once was. I look forward to continuing to watch him grow as I embark on a new career. I taught elementary school for 9 years but I am now studying to be a medical transcriptionist so I can work from home. God willing, in the near future we will be adding to our family as well. We want Mason to have a sibling to grow up with, someone he can play with and give love and support to as they grow into adulthood.
In my spare time, (I know most of you are thinking what's that :O) I enjoy reading, knitting and scrapbooking.
I saw this poem on another mom's page and it hit home for me too. I changed a few of the words, but the meaning still rings true. I miss my sweet baby girl every minute of every day. She touched the lives of many but most importantly her twin brother's, her Daddy's, and mine. We miss you and love you princess!!
For My Baby Girl
There might come a day in the future
When I don't think about you constantly,
Wonder what you would have looked like,
What color your hair would have been,
And how your smile might have looked.
There might come a day sometime in the future
When I have another baby girl
And though I will love her beyond measure
And though I will hold her a little tighter,
And though she will be my daughter,
She won't be you.
There might come a day sometime in the future
When I am happy again.
When I can let go.
When I can look at a baby girl without aching for you.
But it won't be today.
The color of transition, warmth and spice. I am vibrant, stimulating and enthusiastic. Take this quiz

It's always hard to make new friends. Well, maybe for me it's not the "meeting" part that's as hard as the "clicking" part. I'm sure things will get better soon...
