I am a wife, a homeowner, a dog owner, a systems administrator, a daughter, a sister, a friend. Above all, I am a mother. Of all of the titles, of all of the things that I answer to throughout the day, 'mommy' is the most incredible. It is also the most demanding and the most challenging, offering the biggest rewards.

I married my high school boyfriend in November of '06, after a turn or two in the wrong direction. We honeymooned in Orlando, and brought home a souvenier that we named Olivia Grace. Only because he wouldn't let me name her Minnie Mouse. I thought it was catchy.

Olivia was born on August tenth, at 9:30 a.m, three weeks before my due date. She weighed 4lbs, 9 oz and was eighteen inches long. She was so tiny that she 'mewed' rather than cried. She seemed so fragile, so delicate. But, she never spent any time in the nursery, and was fairly...opinionated.

She has certainly grown into a healthy little girl, who definitely no longer 'mews'. She is a generally happy baby, excuse me, TODDLER, and I am bombarded by big grins and shrieks of glee all day long. She is beginning to learn that crying breaks my heart, and can bend me to her little will. I am fairly sure she is an extortionest. I hope she never learns that if she should cry hard enough, I will be forced to buy her things.......

Christian was born on October 2nd of '09, and he has been a different experience entirely.  He's short tempered, hyper, hates to sleep, will eat anything in sight, and has given me a run for my money thus far.  But, he is the absolute love of my life, and I love learning more about him every day.  He is affectionate, generally happy, and very loveable.  He's learning to run around, and LOVES to play with his sister.  The rest of us are ok, but he adores her.  I will remind them of this frequently I'm sure, as they get older and realize they annoy each other to no end.

 I've been married for almost 3 years, & it's been an experience. I love my time with my children, and my family and friends come first. I love Holidays, and make a big deal out of them, even adding my own like "Pumpking Carving day" in October, where my whole family is forced to come over for Jack O Lantern carving and food, and "Elf Night" in December, because the month is simply too long to wait for Christmas, so we have Pre Christmas too. I support gay marriage and adoption. I believe in equality for ALL. I believe that we need a nation run on common sense, not religious preferences. I want my daughter to grow up with compassion, empathy, understanding, acceptance and tolerance of others, and a strong sense of self.   I love my life. I like who being a mother has made me, and the wife that I am becoming as I grow. Speaking of growing, I'd like to knock off a couple pounds, but I'm fighting with my eliptical. It got mouthy about me hanging my jeans on it, and now I'm mad at it....I've also decided perhaps I should fight with yogurt.
