Ok... to get started a suggestion was that I do a top 10 list... 10 things you should know about me... Hmmmmmm "should" ???

Top 10

1. I find it presumptous to say you "should" know anything about me.

2. I am 52 years of age... Too darn many days I would say 52 years old... Today I think its a positive sign that I don't want to say old... *Smile*

3. I am thinking about creating a time capsule. I think I'd like to leave various writings that I think describe much of what I find interesting about our times... and some personal information... Maybe years from now instead of finding my body petrified after having been encased in lava for a few hundred years future archeologists might find it interesting.

4. It soothes my feelings of not wanting to be forgotten and even more importantly not wanting those I love to be forgotten.

5. I have two children. I have a daughter who died October 30, 2006 at the age of 30 and a son who is now 30. My children are the best part of me.

6. My daughter's death is what we call a life defining event in my life. It is not the only event but it is probably the hardest thing I've ever dealt with... or should I say that I deal with. I mention this for one reason. If you want to talk because you are struggling witth the death of a child I can't change the facts... I can listen, I can care, and I can cry with you. Flip side... I can remember and smile with you too.

7. I guess it shows.... I am very sentimental. If it doesn't show then I need to work harder so it does. I do not regret nor apologize for wanting to be more of what I treasure in others. When life is said and done I will remember far longer folks who cried with me than those who walked by me uncaring...

8. Oh... did you notice... I'm wordy. *Smile* I hope I can count a sense of humor as one of my assets.

9. I live in Louisiana. I am originally from Oklahoma. I find much to like about Louisiana. Oh... We won the College Football Championship Bowl again this year. We won it in 2003 too. YES!!! I am proud of our Tigers!

10. I'm a better than average cook. I would like to exchange recipes.
