I an expatriate Aussie living in Rhode Island. Do I get homesick? Sometimes... I do miss my beautiful country and of course my family and friends most of all, but I love it here too and have met some wonderful people that I will count among my dearest friends for the rest of my life. I have a delightful four-year-old daughter: she's the light of my life, of course!

I'm a children's book author and artist. My current project, a three book series for 8-12 year-olds is due out from Mimosa McGraw-Hill in March, 2008. My first book Let's Visit Spacewas released by Macmillan McGraw-Hill in July,2007.

I am a developmental editor with both Write a Kids' Book  and Book Editing Associates, see my links. I also teach 'Writing for Children's Books' at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) CE. www.risd.edu

And I have a group for fellow children's authors and illustrators, aspiring or published, all welcome: http://www.cafemom.com/group/kidswriters

When I'm not playing with my daughter, editing, writing, painting, teaching or reading you'll find me kayaking, hiking, swimming at the beach, camping, working out, hanging out with my friends who are mostly either environmental education teachers or artists or writers, or the phone to my mum in Australian, whom I miss terribly.
