I am first and foremost a child of Christ and blessed to be His servant.  I am married to my best friend and the most wonderful man I know.  We were blessed with a beautiful baby girl in December 2007 and we are so excited about celebrating her second birthday this month!

I believe in the power of His creation to sustain us.  This means I support organics, preventative medicine and natural remedies.  I also support midwifery, natural childbirth, breastfeeding and kangaroo care.  I don't believe in parenting from ANY book (including attachment parenting) because I believe that God instills nurturing in each of us. I also believe that He give us the 'mother's intution' that we all too often ignore for the conventional 'wisdom' of a bestseller.

While I am a nurse, I take issue with too many of the modern medical practices in place today.  Birth is not an illness, and vaccination has reached a dangerous level.  My goal is to become a midwife and possibly, eventually go to school for naturopathic medicine.

I am outgoing, opinionated and fun.  I am very friendly and love to make new friends.  While I will never withdraw my opinion to avoid offending someone, I always do my best to express my feelings in a way that is tactful and respectful of others.
