  • About Me

Ok here is a little about myself. I am 28 but I act a feel like I did when I was 16. I have a 5 year old son, that was the GREATEST gift I was ever given. I have 2 cats; I saved them from going to the animal shelter. I have 3 ferrets, 1 I got from the animal shelter and the other from a home she was too much for, and 1 from a pet story. I went to college for Herbology, got my first year certificate. I've been practicing Wicca off and on for 12 years. I did get formally trained. I want a greener environment and home. I am a type 1 insulin dependent diabetic of 28 years, yes almost my whole life. But because of my diabetes I can't work 40+ hours a week without getting hospitalized. I just recently became a Motivated Mom to make this desire of mine come true. I work from home; I do not keep an inventory. I do not make deliveries. I do not "sell" people, people come to me, so no one gets pushed into buying anything. I do not do parties. It's great it gives me the freedom to spend time with my kids. I lost almost 3 years with my son from working so much to keep food on the table, and now I'm here with my kids teaching them and spending time with them, and doing my part to make for a greener world. All I do is check my e-mail see if anyone what's to know more about Motivated Moms or just about the produces and I give them a call and go from there. It's great. If you want to know more just check out my Motivated Moms Link, click get more info. fiil it out and I will be giving you a call. Have a great day.

    BLessed Be,
    Melanie

    Have You Done Your Research?

Educate yourself, do the research, and make the best decision for your family...keep products with toxic ingredients OUT of your home and AWAY from your family whenever possible!
Doesn't it make sense to choose to do everything we can AT HOME?? I, along with 30-40 Thousand families EVERY month, am making the choice to change stores and shop for safer, healthier and more cost effective products...WHAT IS YOUR CHOICE?? Make one TODAY!

Why Does Using Safer Products Make Sense?
Why should we worry about Toxic Ingredients in our personal care and household cleaning products???
There are so many reasons that we should worry about the ingredients in household and personal care products that we use on a day to day basis. Here are just a few that really stood out to me and encouraged me to continue my own research and choose to use alternative, safer products for my home and family!

According to the EPA, most homes have airborne concentrations of hazardous chemicals that are two to five times higher indoors then outdoors.

According to the EPA, toxic chemicals found in the home are three times more likely to cause cancer than outdoor airborne pollutants.

Consumer product Safety Commission connects 150 chemicals commonly found in our homes to allergies, birth defects, cancer and psychological disorders.

The National Cancer Institute has a list of twenty known carcinogens and over 2,200 chemicals that are probable carcinogens. Many of these chemicals are in the cleaners and personal care products you buy at your local grocery store.

A 15 year study found that women who worked at home had a 54% higher death rate from cancer than women who had jobs outside the home!!!

The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) analyzed 2983 chemicals used in personal care products. The results were as follows:

884 of the chemicals were toxic
    218 caused reproductive complications
    148 caused tumors
    314 caused biological mutations
    778 caused accute toxicity
376 cause skin and eye irritation
