I was a young mother (having my first child a month shy of my 17th birthday), Graduated w/a regents diploma in science/spanish, got married (hard to believe it was  29 years ago), and raised my family. I became a grandmother at 44. The upside to being a young grandmother is still having the energy to chase after & play with the little ones. I have 3 children,  2 girls - ages 31 & 27 and 1 son age 29. They are all college educated, one is a geologist, one a mechanical engineer, and one an elementary special education teacher. I have 3 grandchildren, granddaughter age 4 and 2 grandsons ages 21months and 26 months.. I work full time as the "office manager" (for lack of a better title) for a small family company which allows me to be flexible when my kids need me to watch the little ones.  Often times they come to work w/me.  I have enjoyed decorating cakes ever since my children were little.  After making them for years for just family and friends as gifts I have recently started to make them for profit (not much profit in it really but I enjoy it). I enjoy gardening and being outdoors in general. I like to sew but don't do it as often as I would like because I'm always busy with the family and have recently developed vision issues that make it difficult at times.  When I do get a chance to get at it I love to make dresses and outfits for the little ones.  I especially enjoy creating costumes for both the "big kids" and the grandkids. My one regret is being unable to pursue a higher education, perhaps in the future when/if finances allow I'll get up the nerve and get this old lady a college education.  So that's who I am!  Feel free to drop me a line anytime.  I'm always looking for new friends.
