Not your average Army Wife. My husband serves in the 82nd Airborne Division on Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He is currently deployed to Iraq and upon returning home he will be done with the Army for good!  I support him and love him. We have one son Brady who is a bright, breastfed, intelligent, co-sleeping, worn, non vaccinated, 2 year old who was born at home before I married and moved here with my husband.

Unfortunately because of his work he missed our first child's birth and we were hoping he would be here for the birth of our much anticipated second addition. Unfortunately circumstances have changed, and he will not be with us for the birth unless some kind of miracle occurs.  We around our earlier in the year we are expecting a little girl, due to a loud mouth ultrasound tech that never asked if we wanted to know the sex of the child.

I am out there in the eyes of many others, but as long as my husband doesn't care about my wacky parenting techniques, no one else should either.  I am as liberal as it can possibly get, I am atheist, I am a big outsider in our area. I need to find some like minded people even if it is only on the internet.

I am an RN, aspiring doula, and midwife. who is studying to become a midwife right now. I will be putting my school on hold shortly once our second child is here with us for the time being. Also pending out big move.
