I understand where you are coming from. I share custody of my son 50/50 with my ex and I feel the same way. I don't even like sharing him with the preschool sometimes. I forced myself to join a new playgroup recently just because I knew it would be good for the two of us. Now I just need to attend more often. :)

I saw your journal post about losing friends. So very true! We learn who our real friends are and discover that we need a new set of friends. Have you ever been involved with a playgroup? I also have a four year old and the various groups I have joined have been life savers. With #2 on the way and a move to a new city I decided it was time to find another one. Hope you are finding your way and having better luck in the friend area too.
