My husband and I are 21. We had an "oooops!" baby which has turned out to be the biggest blessing of our lives. My hubby had to quit college early and pick up a full time job to support our new family. He is so sweet.
Currently I am a stay at home mom to a beautiful 6 month old boy, Dakari, only because my father-in-law is kind enough to let us live at his place for free. Hopefully soon that will change. I'm looking for a part-time gig so we can move out on our own. Challenging but sooooo worth it.
I love being a mom and a wife! I live my life centered around my God and Savior the best way I know how. My hubby and I are very much involved in our church and are very close with our church family.
I buy as much organically grown food as I can and I make my own baby food. I am not a "save the world" nut, but I like knowing my family is eating something healthy and natural from the earth, not man made junk. Though we do enjoy that "junk" occasionally. :0)
My son is sensitive to milk/soy protein, therefore my diet is limited. Yes, I am still breastfeeding and I plan to continue to breastfeed until my son loses interest. He has reflux and we were constantly dealing with thrush at first. Our new addition has given us quite a ride through life so far! What a joy! haha
I don't believe in letting your child cry-it-out at an early age. Crying is a form of communication and if you don't respond to their needs how will they grow to love/trust you?? A child that is able to communicate is a different story! My son is not on a 'schedule'. Not that a schedule is bad. It works for some and not others. I am not on a schedule therefore I don't expect my son to be on one. He sleeps when he's tired and eats when he's hungry. I do feed him solids twice a day and we do have a bedtime routine!!
I'm certainly not the perfect mom/wife! I'm always looking for new friends! We are so young and don't have many friends with kids!
