He had an abcessed cyst at the center front of his throat (about halfway between his chin and collar bone, if that helps to visualize the location) ...contd in message

I saw your post about your son's Dx--my 5 year old had a thyroglossal duct cyst excised when he was about 2. I thought I'd say hi....you know, in case you wanted to talk to someone who's dealt with it before. I think you're on the right road if he's seeing an ENT. Hope he's feeling better soon!
