I am 38 and just had my first baby. Had I known it was this awesome to have kids, we would have started 10 years ago and had about 3 kids by now. We decided to wait because we do a lot of traveling and weren't sure if we wanted kids at all.

I have chosen to stay home for now,  but will hopefully be returning some day. I miss the social aspect and the income of working but I just can't get myself to miss all those cute "firsts". My husband is a 4th grade teacher and a writer so things are financially tight right now but worth every bit of the sacrifice.

My interests include traveling the world, good food and good times,  I play racket ball about twice a week and go biking daily...well for the summer at least while hubby is off work and can be with the baby while I'm gone.

For the future, I am considering baby sitting in my home for one or  two kids so that my little one can have someone to play with and for me to make a little extra income.

I love being a mom.
