I recently closed down my small Farmers Insurance Group Agency to take some time off to have our son, due February 17, 2010.  Being a small business owner plus raising a baby felt like too much so we're in a state of flux as we figure out what I will do career-wise with the rest of my life.  My husband is the Dean of our local community college, Captain in the Oregon Air National Guard and working on his PhD dissertation - oh, and we're throwing in a baby :-)  I have no regrets for this career path change.  I closed my Agency November 5th and within days got Swine Flu.  I stayed in bed two weeks and luckily no complications.  I am just now starting to feel better after several weeks of rest.  I am having hand reconstructive surgery on Dec. 8th from an injury this summer.  Our nursery is almost complete so I will spend much of next week finishing everything up. 

I would love to make some new mom friends as my once very active lifestyle is changing dramatically.  I am a social bug and while I haven't had even the slightest difficulty adjusting to a quieter lifestyle I would love to make some new friends.
