10 Things about Me
1. I am always looking to make new friends.
2. I speak Spanish as well as English.
3. I graduated from Hood College (if there are any other Hoodies out there on here) with a B.A. in Psychology.
4. I am raising three girls in a 600 square foot house on 1 1/4 acres to make an active contribution to the green living movement. We grow many of our own vegetables and some fruits, though we are just getting established with the fruits and also some nut trees. We have been working on the plans for an addition to make use of solar energy for the last two years.
5. I love Janet Evanovich novels and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I love other books too, but those are the ones I am most enthralled with (LOL)
6. I try to see humor in everything and stay positive, though it's hard (especially when surrounded by some family members who choose to turn life into a brick maze)
7. My father died of cancer in 2003 at the age of 54, when I was 24 years old. I am still mourning the loss.
8. I love gardening and plants, especially native plants. I love daylilies though too, I cannot resist their beauty even though they aren't native and can grow like weeds, LOL.
9. I love to take pictures even though the digital camera I use isn't that great to take really GOOD pictures. I hope to improve that in the near future. I do the best I can with what I've got, I take pictures of the blooming plants in the garden anyway.
10. My kids are ages 6, 4, and 2. I have been thinking about homeschooling for a very long time but have not yet made that jump. I would truly appreciate any advice from other homeschoolers as to the difficulties and the positive points of homeschooling.
