I have been married for 39 yrs. to the love of my life. Together we have 3 wonderful kids. Chris is 39 and is married to her high school sweetheart. They have 2 daughters, Rachel, who is 17, and Rebecca, who is 14. They are the apple of their Grandma's eye! Darin is 31 and is divorced. Sara is 24 and has been married almost a year.
I am dedicated to my family, and, more importantly, to my church. I alternate teaching a Bible Study class of 7-10 yr. olds and teach a Vacation Bible School class of 4-6 yr. olds every July. It is so neat to see those little ones so eager to learn more about the Bible!
I am a very tender-hearted person and tend to be a worry-wart. This has been a real struggle for me and I have to remind myself often to "Let go, Let God"
I enjoy reading inspirational books by many different authors, scrapbooking, collecting birdhouses and birdhouse items. I also enjoy flower gardening and going to yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. I enjoy time spent with my family. We are a silly bunch and it doesn't take much to get us laughing at each other's antics!
I love living in the hills of southeastern Ohio. I love the changing of the seasons here and don't envy at all the folks who live where there is just "one season". (OK, maybe I do in the dead of winter when it's 20 below 0 and we are in the middle of a blizzard, and we haven't been to the store 25 mi. away for bread, milk, and TP, and cabin fever sets in because you can't go anywhere!) But spring and fall here are times I wouldn't trade with anyone else on earth! These hills trade their 6 mo. of barrenness of winter for trees that are fluffed with a cloud of green in the spring, and provide a season of grandeur with gold, crimson and orange trees in the fall. I enjoy the greenness of summer and all the activities in this area. I feel truly blessed to be able to be part of it all. It just reminds me daily that God is indeed the Master Artist of all that is beautiful in each season!
We just found out today - my son & daughter-in-law are having a BOY!!! My first grandson, due August 21 (my son's first baby)!!!
I just love your page. I have always loved patchwork things. I hope you have a good day today and thanks for coming to my home page.
Hello Rosie, how are you doing? The temps are finally starting to warm up now, have a few windows open. I hope things are good with you and you have a awesome Sunday.
I'm sorry I haven't been here at the Cafe much lately... I'm really stressed (and confused) at the moment, but I WILL get back with you... for now, this is my working weekend so I gotta eat & go to bed - my bed time deadline is 10 pm at the latest (I have to get up at 5 am)! (((hugs)))
