Are they cafemom groups? I'm in a couple of the local mommy groups too, but it just doesn't seem like they are a very active group and I have found a couple of play groups but none meet on the weekend and I work during the week so none of that ever works for me.

  • Personal Statement

I'm feeling a need to reconnect with my community as a mother rather than a college student, single woman, or wife.  While living in Hawaii for a brief time, she was a member of HonoluluMommies.com and enjoyed the quality of play dates, the ability to communicate in the web forums during my "down time", the philanthropy of the group, and the support of other mothers.  I returned to California in May 2010 and wanted to foster that same experience in Santa Barbara County.  I look forward to the camaraderie of other mommies, watching our children play together in parks and at the beach, and visiting local attractions that weren't on my radar before I became a mother.
