I'm a married mother of two girls, 9 & 11, the younger w/ mild autism (PDD-NOS).  I'm currently a stay at home mother, having found that fighting tooth and nail with the school to get my younger daughter the services she needs is a job in itself.  I am mad about gardening, but having a bit of a lazy streak, I am generally just on the edge of dissatisfaction with whatever project I may be working on.  I love to read, have very few friends but the friends I have will be mine for eternity.  I love/hate being a mom, and would love to talk with other parents about the agony and  the ecstasy that comes with being a parent -- particularly a parent of a child with autism.
