My name is Tanya and I have been married to Raymond since October 2005. We meet when I was still in middle school and were just friends for 4.5 years before we started dating. He joined the Army as he always planned to do, and went to Basic, we got married the day before his graduation from Basic, then he went off to AIT. Once he finished there, we were stationed in Hawaii, far from everything I knew, which was hard, and only made worse when he was deployed a mere three months after we arrived in Hawaii. He came back 15 months later, and not even a week later I was pregnant with our first child. (Can anyone say, "Potent"? lol) We found out on Valentine's Day that we are having a baby girl, and we are planning to name her Emilee. (Yes we are one of those couples that has to spell a name different just for the sake of being different lol). Emilee was due July 2nd, but she ended up coming July 16th (TWO WEEKS LATE! I must be comfy!). I had my husband home for nearly two years, something I am very grateful for as I am well aware that two years of dwell time is not common. He has deployed once again in September 2009. Just before he left we found out I was pregnant again. This was a good and bad thing. We had always planned to have another child, but we had planned to try for the 2nd halfway through the 2nd deployment so that hubby wouldn't have to miss as much. Instead he's missing everything, except for the birth hopefully. His platoon is doing everything in their power to make sure he is home for the birth which we both appreciate, but it's going to be hard for him to leave our new little one. We had planned to have this baby be a surprise, but the moment the doppler was put on my belly all we saw was better his legs. He was NOT shy. So now we know we will be having a beautiful baby boy that we will be naming Julian. (See we aren't THAT difficult lol). I am now in my last semester for my Associate's degree in Liberal Arts. My next degree will be a BA in Organizational Studies with a minor in Family Studies. I am really looking forward to it and enjoying life as it comes my way. =)
