2010 was tumultuous. I watched my oldest daughter give birth to twins, my husband receive his Executive Masters in Business Administration, My youngest daughter receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine,  and my first publication. It also saw my second lifetime bout with Major Depressive Disorder, an agonizing switch of medications in the attempt to find the correct one, diabetes that went completely out of control and almost destroyed my body, and a burst  aneurysm in my  retina that took 1/4 of the vision in my left eye.

This year has taught me to slow down and take care of my soul and it's body first, (and to make the time to do so). To date I have dropped 90 lbs.  I have learned to say "no" and not feel guilty, to put my family as a priority over any other activity,  and to enjoy the short life that we have here on earth

I'm a Wife, a Mother of two,  and  grandmother of three.  My company's name is  DLJ Illustrations, with our brand new Etsy shop, DLJ Art Memories.  I am the illustrator for the Magdalene Legacy Tarot, by Casey DuHamel , to be published by Tarot Media , inc.

I am a past board member of Northern Ohio chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, a member of the Northern Ohio Illustrators' Society.  Illustrating may not be the bed of roses that many people think it is, but I can't imagine doing anything else.

As my Moniker, "Ultimate Grandma" came by accident, I would humbly like to add that it reflects my LOVE OF BEING a Grandmother,  not my SUCCESS AT BEING one
