  • Personal Statement

    I live in Washington, DC with my amateur food-critic husband Jason, a big fat cat and a small annoying yappy dog. And my baby. My delicious, wonderful baby. Noah was born September 30, 2005 and is without a doubt, the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. (Mush! Ack! But he's worth it.)

    Until very very recently, I worked in financial publishing as an editor, but have now quit and embarked on a freelance writing career. I blog at amalah.com and now at the ClubMom Round-Up Blog (http://blogs.clubmom.com/daily_dose/). So instead of getting hatemail about putting my son in daycare, I can now get hatemail about betraying feminism to stay home. Awesome. I love Coach bags, TiVo, Indian food and my son's dimple.

    I hate parking lots and unsolicited parenting advice. I am absolutely terrified of volcanoes.
